Glenwood Oaks Restaurant is a restaurant offering Seafood located in Glenwood. As you see it today, evolved from a long history that began over a half-century ago. Originally opened by William and Hilda D'Amico in 1925, it was first known as Glenwood Gardens. It was re-christened Gasper's Spa in 1937 when Gasper Turlo purchased the restaurant. The restaurant changed hands again in 1954 with the new owners, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ryan, who renamed it Poor Richard's. Poor Richard's received a distinguished reputation under the Ryans by offering a sumptuous buffet that delighted diners from near and far.
