Positano Ristorante Italiano is an Italian restaurant located in Bethesda. We are open every day all year for 33 years and counting. We serve lunch and dinner each day. We start serving our homemade Italian delights at 11:30am and close at 10pm.

On any normal night Positano Restaurant is bustling with families, businessmen and women, parked baby carriages, and in a romantic corner there is a blind date. If ever you feel as a stranger outside then come home to Positano Restaurant.

We are not part of a hotel or restaurant chain, we do not have a microwave, we still write our guest checks in long hand, we still make our own sauces, bread, mozzarella cheese, pastas and desserts. We accommodate vegan and gluten free requests.

Positano also offers six private party rooms which are a perfect match for rehearsal dinner sites, wedding reception sites, bar mitzvahs, high school and college reunions, romantic dates and marriage proposals. The Plaza Room is the largest venue, with its own street entrance, bar and dance floor. The Plaza Room is designed to accommodate one hundred eighty guests with room for dinner and dancing. The Plaza Room is perfect for hosting a wedding reception or high school reunion.
